Walking & Sightseeing

What do you want to do today?
Take it easy? - no problem!

... or ... bike in to Caden for bread and croissants first, then walk the dog in the woods. Coffee in the garden, then perhaps a trip into Rochefort-sur-Terre and lunch at the Creperie? Come back for a bit of a siesta in the garden ... then go and walk the dog in Foleux or even perhaps do their circuit and have an ice-cream at the bistrot and watch the boats?

Down to the stream

5mins

Go out of the garden gate and turn left. Turn left when you hit the trees and keep walking down to the bridge. Good place to watch waterboatmen and play poohsticks.

Bourg Maria Circuit

20 mins

Go out of the garden gate & turn left. Turn right when you hit the trees. After 5 mins you arrive at a well, turn right up past the houses. Turn right at the top of the road - you will be at Bourg Maria. Continue past & turn right into Le Haut Provost.
(To make it a little longer you can go down to the stream (above) & over the bridge turning right after 50 metres once it's gone high up. Follow the pathway & take the next bridge right - you will end up at the well.) Link

Mobirise

Chateau Circuit

30 mins

Go out of the garden gate and turn right up to the road, then left towards Bourg Maria. Take the first right and basically keep turning right when you meet another road.

Mobirise

Le Grand Val Circuit

15 km

Explores the beautiful woods of the Grand Val between Caden and Limerzel. It is possible to cut it short at 6.5km where the loop almost meets the return route. Study the map carefully before going as there are several routes signposted and can be a bit confusing.  Link

Mobirise

The woods at the back of the house Circuit

1hr

Go out of the garden gate and turn right and almost immediately right up the track and past the wood store. Go down into the forest and cross over the stream at any of the makeshift crossing points (sometimes we just go as far as here and back again). See map for further instructions - Map
